U.S. Pro Squash Series Returns for 2014

The U.S. Pro Squash Series returns in 2014 and will begin on Wednesday January 15, when the PSA Challenger 10 Emerson Racquet Club Pro Series event gets underway in St. Louis.

Sixteen players will compete for the first available points on the U.S. Pro Series circuit which will see players from across the globe compete for a bonus prize fund, which will be awarded when the series comes to a conclusion. Continue reading

Illingworth is Inaugural U.S. Pro Series Champion

American squash No. 1 Julian Illingworth, the highest ranked American squash player of all-time, has topped the 2013 U.S. Pro Squash Series, winning the top prize of $5,000.

The eight-time U.S. National Champion from Portland edged New Zealand’s Campbell Grayson and Pakistan’s Farhan Zaman, who finished second and third, respectively, to the title as a result of picking up 545 points from six events. Continue reading

U.S. Pro Series Launch

U.S. Squash and the Professional Squash Association (PSA) have joined in partnership to launch the U.S. Pro Squash Series (www.usprosquashseries.com).  The primary goal of the series is to serve as a marketing umbrella for US men’s professional tournaments and12 US Open Day 3 556 to increase the awareness of squash through the professional game.  The PSA has a strong tradition of success in the US with more than 25 states from coast-to-coast having embraced the world class athletes in their communities by hosting PSA tournaments. These events, even excluding the three World Series events held in the US, have offered total prize money exceeding $200,000 in each of the last three years. Continue reading
