Number four seed Danish Atlas Khan defeated compatriot Farhan Zaman 3-1 in an all-Pakistani final in the Life Time Fitness Chicago Open, U.S. Pro Series M10 event to lift his first PSA World Tour title of 2015.

The 21-year-old saw off Egypt’s Andrew Wagih Shoukry in the semi-final while Zaman, who was competing for his second successive PSA World Tour title, came through a five-game epic against Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi, the man he beat in the final of the Any Presence Open three weeks ago.

The first game saw a number of punishing rallies take centre stage as both players attempted to move their opponent off the ‘T’. It was Khan who eventually prevailed in the opener by an 11-7 score line before Zaman battled back to ensure parity in the second.

Khan, the nephew of squash legend Jahangir Khan, was back in front in the third after a number of well-placed drives enabled the World No.68 to rise to an 11-7 triumph.

He dictated the tempo in the fourth and final game to wrap up an 11-7, 9-11, 11-7, 11-5 victory to secure his eighth career PSA World Tour title.

The Chicago Open is the fourth Life Time Fitness Grand Prix event of 2015, with the tour resuming November 3-8 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
