American world No. 129 Todd Harrity is on track in the Stratos Seattle Open with a first round win over Dutch qualifier Bart Ravelli. Despite narrowly losing the first game 9-11, fourth-seeded Harrity emphatically turned around the match to win the next three games 11-2, 11-5, 11-1. Harrity (pictured at the Tournament of Champions) now faces English world No.  150 Robert Downer in the quarterfinals.

All seeds were victorious in the first round including Irish two seed Arthur Gaskin who defeated American qualifier Adam Perkiomaki in three close games 11-8, 12-10, 11-6.

Eighteen-year-old lucky loser and Seattle Athletic Club member Shahjahan Khan narrowly missed out on a quarterfinal berth losing out to eighteen-year-old Englishman Richie Fallows in five games 7-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-4, 11-6.

English one seed Joel Hinds squeezed past Brazilian qualifier Vinicius Rodrigues 11-9, 11-8, 11-7, and experienced three seed Matthew Serediak breezed past Scotsman Jonathan Geekie 11-6, 11-3, 11-5.
